Hi! I'm Lily, a 16-year-old girl living in the beautiful (though somewhat chilly) state of Michigan.

I am:

​

-first and foremost, a child of God. He is my Savior, Sustainer, Redeemer, and King. Everything I say or do on this blog I strive to glorify Him through. 

 

-a daughter to two amazing parents, and a big sis to four wonderful people. I have a 13yo brother (Isaac), a 11yo sister (Lucy), and two foster brothers aged 3 and 2. (Sadly, I can’t share their names or pictures of their sweet faces.) I love you all!

-a homeschooler! My family uses a Charlotte Mason curriculum called Ambleside Online. We use living books for our curriculum (mainly classics). I enjoy staying at home to do schoolwork! Shoutout to my fellow Amblers, y’all are awesome. ;D

 

-a certified goofball. If you’ve ever met me in person, I’ve probably made about a thousand bad puns and you’ve gone away with your head spinning. This may or may not leak out all over my writing, so beware of your sanity! 

 

-a bookworm! Some of my favorite reads are The Giver (Lois Lowry), Kisses from Katie (Katie Davis), the Anne of Green Gables series (L. M. Montgomery), Pride & Prejudice (Jane Austen), Little Women (Louisa May Alcott), and The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe (C. S. Lewis). 

 

-a writer ;) I have a current WIP (work-in-progress) but I mainly like to work on shorter things like devotionals, or book reviews. (This blog: case in point.)

 

-a musician. I’ve played the violin for almost nine years and I love to sing in choir! Or just by myself. I love to listen to music! :D

​

-an ENFP-T on the Myers-Briggs scale. Meaning peacemaker/ social stresser/ friendship seeker/ restless project-maker/ people-pleaser/ disorganized mess. Heheh. 

 

-a pen pal. I have *calculates numbers in head* an unidentifiable amount of pen pals currently…I obsess over anything snail mail. I love to make my letters look pretty and add lots of things to them! 

 

Here are some other random things that I love, in no particular order:

~my dog (a 100lb mutt named Penny :P)

~the beach

~chocolate (really dark chocolate especially!)

~taking photos

~washi tape

~hugs (I really, really love hugs)

~board games

~hot chocolate and tea and coffee

~cozy blankets

~making breakfast

~gel pens (ballpoint pens will never come close)

~chatting/hanging out with friends or family

~babies 8D

~candles

~...and maybe very long lists. XD

This blog was created as mainly a creative outlet for myself, but also as another way to share my writing and ideas with others. It's a mixture of everything but the kitchen sink (and maybe some of that, too). Feel free to send me a message if there's anything specific you want to see in a post! I'm always looking for suggestions. ;D
