Hello, dears! If you haven't noticed, my blog has not been very active recently. (And yet somehow, I've been gaining more followers through my absence than I was when I was posting regularly? O.O)
So, why have I been so lousy at posting recently?
...Actually, that's a very good question. And one that deserves an answer.
October was a crazy month for me. It still seemed like we were getting into the school routine, and I didn't have much time to sit down and brainstorm (or write). I wrote a few odd articles here and there, but nothing serious.
In November, I began NaNoWriMo, which stands for National Novel Writing Month. I'm working on completing a project that I began back in the early spring, and I hope to have the first draft completed by the end of the year. What project is it? One day, when I have something worthwhile to show you, I might talk a bit about it. But for now, it's shrouded in mystery. *wink*
Starting in December, I'm going to be focusing this blog (and hopefully posting every week/every other week). From now on, you can see more original and specific content centered around my life, foster care, book reviews, devotionals, and art (from time to time).
What's more, I'm cutting all blog tags and blog tours. While I love you all, and these things are really fun and help to spread the word about some amazing blogs, they've also served as an excuse for me to not give my readers more original content. Looking back, I've done a lot of blog tours or tags, and that's not the majority of what I want my blog to look like.
So, my dear readers, be satisfied. The Misty Mayflower is not dead, nor is it leaving the face of the Internet. For November, it's taking a short break, and then will be coming back even stronger and better in December. My blogging journey is just beginning, but I'm excited for where it'll take me (and you!) next.
Do you have any specific ideas or wishes for future posts? Are you doing NaNo this year? Are you excited for the holiday season? Drop me a note, I'd love to hear from you!
Toodeloo, friends!
